Playing a part

Working Bees

Working bees are organised as required to maintain the grounds and facilities.

All maintenance is volunteer driven - contributions are critical and much appreciated.

We understand that members all have a range of committments so we ask that everyone volunteers as much as they are able, when they are able.

Volunteer Tasks

2021 To-Do List

There are many jobs, big and small, that members can do either at organised working bees, before/during/after rallies or in their own time that will make a huge difference to the upkeep of the club and grounds.

Please contact the committee if you think you can help with any of these jobs.
  • Mowing and whipper-snipping the main grounds (the club has a ride-on mower and whipper snipper)
  • Annual weed spraying
  • Harrowing the arenas
  • Picking up sticks and branches from around the main grounds (our beautiful gum trees drop LOTS of them)
  • Cleaning the toilets
  • Running BBQs at rallies and other events
  • Helping to organise rallies and other events
  • Construction, repair and maintenance of fences, cross-country jumps and other large infrastructure
  • Pulling up Salvation Jane from the agistment paddocks
  • Preparing and/or contributing to club newsletters
  • Taking photos at club rallies and events
